Ardbeg Distillery and Old Kiln Cafe

About Ardbeg Distillery and Old Kiln Cafe:

Follow your nose along the most famous road in the history of malt whisky and eventually you’ll arrive at Ardbeg. Located on the rugged shoreline at the southern end of Islay, it’s a fantastic place to visit and there’s a range of tours available.

Ardbeg has been called “as close to perfection as makes no difference,” by whisky connoisseurs. Using malted barley sourced from the maltings at Port Ellen, Ardbeg has some of the peatiest whisky in Islay. It’s a whisky that’s worshipped around the world.

In the past ten years, six different Ardbeg expressions have won prestigious titles including World Whisky of the Year, Scotch Whisky of the Year and World’s Best Single Malt.

Lunch and light bites can be had at the Old Kiln Cafe, and from April, throughout summer, you can eat al fresco in the distillery courtyard with food from the Ardstream trailer.
