About Ballymeanach Holiday Cottages:
Situated on the beautiful Rhinns of Islay, Ballymeanach is a working croft and our three self-catering cottages have been recently converted from old steading buildings just under a mile from the picturesque and conservation village of Portnahaven.
The Barn is a self-contained two-bedroom conversion with large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with views towards Portnahaven and the lighthouse on the Isle of Orsay. The Barn can accommodate 4-6 people as there is a sofa bed in the living room area. The bedrooms can be made up as super-king or single beds to suit your party’s needs.
The Smiddy is a self-contained one-bedroom cottage conversion with open plan kitchen/living room and large breakfast bar. It is a comfortable and relaxing space with deep set windows and roof lights making it bright and airy. The Smiddy can accommodate 2-3 people with a sofa bed in living room and a King size bed in the bedroom.
The Cottage is a self-contained one-bedroom cottage with mezzanine bedroom (either Super-king or single beds) & balcony with views towards the rocky Rhinns coastline. The sitting area is a bright full height space with velux and deep-set window. The separate kitchen is well equipped with modern conveniences and a small table & stools. The Cottage sleeps 2-3 as it has a sofa bed in the living room area.
All cottages are fully equipped with all modern conveniences and have air source underfloor heating making them cosy and comfortable all year round. The three cottages together make a great get together for small family groups with parking and outside seating areas either private for each cottage or for families to gather together. All cottages have a smart TV and free wifi.
The Barn has a washing machine and tumble drier, but laundry services can be arranged if needed for the other cottages.
