About Dower House Self Catering Holidays:
The Dower House is six miles from Port Ellen, on the road passing Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries that ends in the hills at Ardtalla. Set on the edge of the sea and surrounded by mystical ancient woodland, overlooked by Cnoc Rhoanastil (the Fairy Hill), where legend has it the queen of the fairies lives. Red, Fallow and Roe deer, common seals, numerous birds and occasional otters can be seen throughout the year. The Dower House offers peace, warmth and inspiration as well as outstanding sea views across the Skerries to Kintyre and the Isle of Arran. Tranquillity and light, with freedom and helpful hospitality from Mary-Ann and Nick on site when needed.
We are disabled friendly and welcome wheelchair users.
