Islay Whisky Academy incorporates Wild and Magic Islay Whisky Tours, Theatre of Drams Whisky Symposium and Whisky for Girls (& Guys!). We are a local company, in operation for ten years.
At present, we are offering a 5 Day Residential Whisky Diploma Course. Dates are 21 – 25 October 2019.
The course is designed for industry experts to broaden their remit, enthusiasts to further their understanding and beginners to immerse themselves in the world of whisky.
The knowledge shared at Islay Whisky Academy is professional, technical, theoretical, authentic and precise.
Our lecturers, teachers and presenters are all working in the industry and expert in their field.

Wild and Magic Islay are aware of the keen interest in Scotland’s history, due in part to the series Outlander and films such as Outlaw/King. We offer Historic Tours of Islay, sharing stories of Finlaggan Ancient Seat of the Kings of the Isles, & Dun Naomhaig Castle from whence 10,000 men left to fight for Scottish Independence with Robert the Bruce in 1314.
We are building a permanent Islay Whisky Academy venue with lecture rooms where we will host whisky courses, workshops, tastings, demonstrations and events through out the year.
We offer Whisky Education & old fashioned Hospitality to everyone.
