About Port Charlotte Hotel:

This family-run beachside hotel, in the heart of a conservation village, has a cosy bar, elegant dining room, bright and airy conservatory and spacious terrace overlooking the bay, all of which are open to non residents to enjoy fine dining, bistro-style meals, lunches, coffee and cakes and fine wines, ales and whiskies.
We are very proud of our reputation for offering guests a comfortable, relaxing visit with a friendly welcome and the finest food and drink.
The 10 unique bedrooms (nine of which have stunning sea views, and the tenth is a large, light double-aspect room overlooking the garden and village) are all en-suite and decorated in a comfortable and elegant style.
The changing menu reflects seasonal local produce and is accompanied by a choice of carefully selected drinks including local ales and whiskies, local gins, fine wines from around the world and champagnes. Diners can choose to eat in the dining room, conservatory or bar, where they will select from a range of bistro-style and fine dining meals, which focus on showcasing the best local produce from the sea and land, as well as creative vegetarian and vegan options. Seafood platters are a speciality of the house. An extensive menu is available at lunchtimes and evenings. Refreshments (including coffee and cakes) are served throughout the day.
Our cosy bar oozes charm and tradition. The bespoke carved wooden bar is home to an enviable selection of whiskies from Islay and Jura, as well as a full range of quality beers, wines and spirits including local Islay ales and gins. A wood-burning fire ensures a warm welcome whatever the season.
Throughout the main season there is regular live music in the bar.
A selection of the main menu is normally available to takeaway in the evenings, but please check with the hotel first. Table reservations are highly recommended, particularly in high season.
The front part of the building was erected in 1829 as three cottages, before it was transformed into a hotel. The hotel has a rating of 4 stars from the Scottish Tourist Board and has a Taste Our Best quality award from Visit Scotland for its food and drink. The hotel and restaurant also has a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award.
