Gartbreck Waste and Recycling Centre

Householders can bring various items to the site for recycling/recovery, including paper, cardboard, plastic bottles/food trays/tubs/pots, cans, tins, empty aerosols, car batteries, household batteries, green garden waste, any (large or small) electrical or battery operated item, scrap metal, fluorescent tubes, light bulbs, glass bottles and jars, textiles, food and drinks cartons (e.g. Tetra Pak),engine oil, water based paints and wood.
Other household rubbish and items can be brought to the site for onward disposal

Monday – Thursday: 8.00 am to 4.30 pm
Friday: 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
Saturday: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm
Sunday: Closed

Re-jig

If you have clean furniture, bric a brac, textiles or working electrical items you can contact Re-JIG on 01496 810 880 or take them along to Unit 11, Whin Park, Bridgend, Islay, PA44 7NZ.

Re-jig’s re-use centres are located in Whin Park Bridgend where you can find furniture, bric-a-brac, clothes, electrical items, and other hidden treasures and another in Shore Street, Bowmore stocking clothes, bric-a-brac, and electrical items.
